Next week the Event Center display will be changed again - watch this space for more about that! But of course nothing is as good as seeing it in person, so be sure to stop by for a look when you are in the area!
When the Event Center opened late last year our club was able to display 5 ceramic pieces by our members in the group of 9 niches in the front foyer of the building. The photo on the left shows them - they are arranged in a "T" formation. When the display was changed in April, this time the CAC was allotted 6 spaces: the top 2 rows - this is shown in the right hand picture. (NOTE: to see a larger view of any picture just click on it.) Next week the Event Center display will be changed again - watch this space for more about that! But of course nothing is as good as seeing it in person, so be sure to stop by for a look when you are in the area! P.S. Any member of the CAC may submit up to three pieces to be considered for the Event Center display; an announcement to this effect is made 6 or more weeks before the selection process. The choice of which pieces are to be displayed is then made by an outside ceramic artist (not a CAC member).

Our Show and Tell last Friday was great - we had a lot of interesting work and some lively discussions. (We have a Show and Tell session on the last Friday of every month, from 11 am to 12:30 pm. - everybody is welcome to participate, or just watch.) As you can see there's been a lot of wonderful pottery produced in the CAC studio lately, both wheel-thrown and hand-built!
As you can see from these pictures, we've been having fun and making some interesting things lately! (Note - you can click on any picture for a larger view of it.)
In May and June we had an Animal Sculpture Workshop taught by one of our favorite instructors, JiaJun Lu (also known as JJ). A wide variety of ceramic creatures were created, as you can see from the pictures below! (Note - you can click on any picture for a larger view of it.)
