Not many of us showed up this time, probably because it was the day after Thanksgiving. But there were some interesting things nevertheless - see below. And several of us stayed afterwards to work, making new pieces, finishing works in progress, glazing bisqued pieces, etc.
Some exciting events are coming soon - one is a second Open Studio which will be held the afternoon of Thursday, December 10, from 2 to 5 pm (our first Open Studio on November 20 was a success, so we've decided to do it again). And we're also having our Annual CAC Holiday Party on December 12, starting at 5:30 pm, at the Dollar Club House - that's always lots of fun!
In addition, our Event Center Display will be changed on Wednesday, December 2, and any CAC member may bring up to three ceramic pieces to the Event Center for consideration. NOTE: Pieces presently displayed there must be picked up by the artists the same day.
For more information about each of these events, click on the Events / Other CAC Events tab, above.
Here's a slideshow of photos taken when our studio was all set up for the Fall Bazaar. The photographer is Ralph Atkins, a good friend of Patty Taylor - whose interest and skill we really appreciate! As you can see, our studio made a beautiful Gallery - and we had the best Bazaar ever.
Now it's back to normal. The studio has re-opened, just in case you are ready to get your hands into clay again. **** I know that I am - see you down there!
Yes, it was really great! Patty and Betty did a superb job of organizing things and keeping everything working like a well-oiled machine, once again (it was Patty's 3rd time and Betty's 2nd time at doing this).
The "Gallery" in our studio looked stunning and attracted swarms of people to browse and to buy. Everyone who volunteered had a wonderful time - while working hard. Bottom line, more income for our club was generated than ever before. Kudos to all involved!
The photos below are mainly from the day before the Bazaar, the exception being the first one (of Betty showing a display of fish-themed sculptures and dishes on one shelf). Stay tuned for more photos as we acquire them.
Here is a list of activities leading up to the Bazaar (happening Saturday November 7 this year), since the Studio is closed the week before, as we prepare for to turn it into a stunning Ceramic Art Gallery. Note the date and time that it re-opens for our members to do their work, a couple of days after the Bazaar - Monday November 9, at noon, to be exact!

And below are some recent photos for happenings in and around our studio - lots of fun.
