CAC's General Meetings & Demonstrations
May 14 - CAC's General Meeting - followed by Pit Fire Workshop #2 -
On Tuesday May 14, our General Meeting will be held in the Ceramic Studio, beginning at 1 pm. First there will be a brief business meeting. Following this will be the second session of our Pit Fire class. Then we will have a demonstration with detailed information on various things you can do to prepare your ceramic pieces for Pit Fire after they have been bisque fired.
FYI, Our annual Pit Fire will be happening on Wednesday May 29, and the pit will be unloaded two days later, on Friday May 31.
NOTE: Attendance at both sessions of the Pit Fire Class is mandatory for all CAC members who have not done pit firing with us before and want to participate in the 2024 Pit Fire. (It is also recommended, but not required, for anyone who has done it before, as a refresher to the process.)
The Pit Fire Class is free for all CAC members. The class will be led by Patty Taylor, Anne Shulenberger, Lucia Tsang and Diva Chaffee.

General Meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday of the month - except in December, when there is no meeting
The "business portion" of each meeting usually takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
Then demonstrations by local ceramic artists (either Rossmoor residents, or local artists from outside of Rossmoor) may be given - these demonstrations may run from one to two hours.
