BASIC GLAZING CLASSES on March 22 & 25
In March there will be two Basic Glazing Classes, featuring techniques that involve brushing glaze (and/or underglaze) as well as dipping and pouring. One will be given from 2 to 4:30 pm on Friday March 22, and the other will be from 9 to 11:30 am on Monday March 25. These Basic Glazing Classes will be taught by two of our own members: Anne Shulenberger, & Gordon Ward. They are meant for beginners, or for those who feel rusty and need a refresher on simple glazing. Participants should bring their own brushes as well as one or two of their own already bisque-fired pieces to be glazed.
These classes are open to all members of CAC, who must sign up in advance on the lists posted on the bulletin board near the kitchen of the Ceramic Studio. Note: Both classes are now full but you may sign up on the waiting list in case of a cancellation.

Wheel Throwing Clinic in the Ceramic Studio on Tuesday Mornings
CAC currently has a free Wheel Throwing Clinic every Tuesday morning from 9:30-11:30 a.m., led by our own Gordon Ward. (NOTE: this was formerly held on Friday mornings.) The focus is on clay preparation, throwing and/or trimming (plus other related skills) and help or advice will be given if requested.
This is open to any of our members who have taken at least a beginning level throwing class. It is based on first come, first served because of space limitations in the Wheel Room - eight attendees are the maximum.
Gordon plans to conduct this Wheel Throwing Clinic every Tuesday morning at the same time for the foreseeable future (except when he is out of town or unavailable for some other reason, in which case this will be posted on the white board that's attached to Damp Closet #4 in the Wheel Room). Many thanks to Gordon for volunteering his time & expertise!
